چکیده

Future wireless IP networks will scale to millions of heterogeneous terminals and provide seamless and ubiquitous content services. However, wireless networks and terminals have drastically different characteristics than their wireline counterparts in terms of bandwidth availability, mobility, processing/display limitation and power consumption requirements, and some key assumptions that existing wireline web protocols and applications rely on become invalid in wireless environment. To achieve adequate user experience and high quality of service, novel mobile content distribution techniques overcoming these difficulties must be developed. In this paper, we develop taxonomy of content distribution techniques that consists of network scaling, endpoint acceleration and protocol and content optimization. We review existing wireline content distribution techniques that will be useful in wireless networks using this framework. We further identify key challenges that mobile content distribution must address in developing scalable, ubiquitous and context-aware mobile content services.

DISTRIBUTED SOFT HANDOFF IN All-IP WIRELESS NETWORKS

Two key problems need to be solved in order to realize soft handoff in wireless IP (Internet Protocol) networks: 1) Data distribution: multiple streams of the same IP traffic have to be distributed via multiple wireless base stations to the same mobile station, 2) Data content synchronization: pieces of data arriving at the mobile station at the same time from different base stations should be ...

3D Path Planning Algorithm for Mobile Anchor-Assisted Positioning in Wireless Sensor Networks

Positioning service is one of Wireless Sensor Networks’ (WSNs) fundamental services. The accurate position of the sensor nodes plays a vital role in many applications of WSNs. In this paper, a 3D positioning algorithm is being proposed, using mobile anchor node to assist sensor nodes in order to estimate their positions in a 3D geospatial environment. However, mobile anchor node’s 3D path optim...

Representing a Model for Improving Connectivity and Power Dissipation in Wireless Networks Using Mobile Sensors

Wireless sensor networks are often located in areas where access to them is difficult or dangerous. Today, in wireless sensor networks, cluster-based routing protocols by dividing sensor nodes into distinct clusters and selecting local head-clusters to combine and send information of each cluster to the base station and balanced energy consumption by network nodes, get the best performance ...

Architecture of a Web Accelerator For Wireless Networks

With the continuous growth of mobile users and web-based wireless applications, the performance of accessing web services via wireless is becoming one of the key issues. Regular TCP has many problems to tackle wireless connections. Especially for 2.5G or 3G mobile users, the bandwidth is always limited to access various IP applications. In this paper, we describe the design, implementation and ...

A New Intrusion Detection System to deal with Black Hole Attacks in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

By extending wireless networks and because of their different nature, some attacks appear in these networks which did not exist in wired networks. Security is a serious challenge for actual implementation in wireless networks. Due to lack of the fixed infrastructure and also because of security holes in routing protocols in mobile ad hoc networks, these networks are not protected against attack...
